How do I apply?

Before you apply, make sure to review the details of the Seminar & Culture Exchange on the Trip’s webpage as well as review the Trip Information Packet. Once you have reviewed those resources, fill out an application! We’ll let you know of your application’s status within 1-3 weeks of receiving it.

Who should apply?

Current high school students, ages 14 to 18 years old are eligible to apply. Student athletes, soccer players, fans, and those with interests in learning about new cultures and places as well as how sport can be used as a tool for youth and commuity development are all encouraged to apply!


What days do I fly to Nicaragua?

You should book flights that arrive to MGA airport on July 29th. Your return flight home should leave MGA airport on August 6th


How will I get from the airport to Granada?

FSF will arrange transportation to and from MGA airport and Granada on July 29th and August 6th. There will be an FSF staff member at the airport to meet you on July 29th and we will share instructions for how to navigate MGA airport prior to the trip.

When is the $600 Trip Fee due? When is my $500 contribution due?

  • Part 1 of the Trip Fee is due on May 1st. Part 1 is a $100 deposit to reserve your spot on the trip. This deposit is nonrefundable.

  • Part 2 of the Trip Fee is due on July 1st. Part 2 of the Trip Fee is $500. (Part 1 a

When is the waiver due and where do I send it?


I set up a Crowdrise page for fundraising. How do I get those donations to SWB?


I collected more equipment than I can fit in my bag. What should I do with extra equipment?
