Finish Line Youth Foundation to Support Winter Programming in Boston

Soccer Without Borders is proud to announce that it has received a $5,000 grant from the Finish Line Youth Foundation to support its Boston, Massachusetts program.

Soccer Without Borders uses soccer as a vehicle for positive change in the lives of newcomer refugee, immigrant and asylee youth. Leveraging the power of an inclusive team environment, youth at SWB Boston gain consistent mentors, lasting friendships and key skills that help that succeed on and off the soccer field. This grant from the Finish Line Youth Foundation will support the program’s four-month winter indoor season.

“We are thrilled to have the support of the Finish Line Youth Foundation to support our winter season for the second consecutive year. This grant allows us to offer youth a winter indoor season, which bridges the gap between our fall and spring outdoor seasons allowing youth and coaches the consistency needed to form

trusting relationships that contribute to learning on and off the field, “ said Lindsey Whitford, Director of SWB Boston.

The Finish Line Youth Foundation strives to make a difference in the lives of youth in the communities where employees and customers live, work and play. For more information about the Finish Line Youth Foundation visit: http://www.finishline.com/store/youthfoundation/youthfoundation.jsp
