New England Revolution selects SWB Director as Community MVP

Every year, MLS fans nominate outstanding individuals that promote goodwill, demonstrate leadership, and help to improve the lives of those living in their community. Of those candidates, 20 nominees are selected, one from each of the 20 clubs, as finalists to represent their MLS team. This year, the New England Revolution have selected Soccer Without Borders (SWB) Boston Director Lindsey Whitford as their nominee.

Lindsey first joined the SWB team in 2010 as a Team Leader in Nicaragua, returning to Boston in 2011 to prepare for and support the launch of SWB Boston. Now in its fourth year, Lindsey has spearheaded the growth of the program to a year-round, valued mainstay in the East Boston community, serving more than 350 newcomer youth ages 7-15.

The Grand Prize winner is determined by an online fan vote and will be announced on Wednesday, July 29 during halftime of the 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game and on twitter by @MLSWORKS. If selected, Lindsey will win $10,000 for the SWB Boston program. Please vote for Lindsey! Voting takes two seconds and fans can vote as many times as they like.
