SWB Boston Names New Director

Now in its sixth year of programming, Soccer Without Borders Boston will enter the 2017-18 school year under the leadership of its new Director, Preston Hollis. Preston previously served as a Program Associate at SWB Boston, where he spearheaded program expansion over the last year, coached the new high school boys' team, and led new mindfulness, fitness, and academic components. He first joined SWB as a volunteer in 2015, after returning to the US from several years in India and Japan, working in international education. Preston holds a Master's in Liberal Arts from St. Johns College and was the captain of the men's soccer team at Southwestern University during his undergraduate days. SWB Boston serves newcomer youth who hail from 19 different countries through year-round, holistic middle school, and high school programs and elementary school leagues in the Fall and Spring.

Preston takes over the role of Boston Director from Lindsey Whitford, a seven year veteran of Soccer Without Borders and one of the Boston program founders. Lindsey first joined SWB as a Nicaragua Team Leader in 2010, and has built the Boston program from the ground up since 2012. We are thrilled that Lindsey will continue to advance the mission of SWB in a new role, leading new program development from her hometown of Seattle beginning in Fall 2017.
