Soccer Coach Education & Trainings

With 20 years of experience bringing together over 60,000 youth from 122 countries, speaking 112 unique languages SWB coaches KNOW how to build community and create safe spaces through soccer.

We have kept a lot of this knowledge in-house.

We have shared our expertise working through partner organizations like adidas, Women Win, Common Goal in global projects like Breaking Barriers throughout Europe and Equal Play Effect throughout Africa.

We educate and train community and development coaches in the MLS and USL with teams like the Chicago Fire, St. Louis SC, Detroit City FC and Oakland Roots and Soul, respectively.

“Sport can nurture leadership identities that care for others in the community, society, and world and take actions to make positive changes. Sport changemakers are bringing together community leadership to build a shared identity and goals tied together through sport. This community of leaders enables more effective changemaking that truly meets the needs of the communities driven by their members.”

Changemaking Takes a Team, Ashoka

At SWB, we know that coaches are the sports changemakers, the glue that brings communities together and we know the research-based frameworks and evidence that must be brought into coach education.

Coaches must see how structural challenges and systemic/institutionalized discrimination as well as PLAY as liberation impacts the youth that play for them and live in the communities they work.

Therefore, our training is play-based.
