Soccer Without Borders Named Official Charity Partner of the 2021 TCS New York City Marathon

The TCS New York City Marathon is back and Soccer Without Borders has once again been named an official charity partner. After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the TCS New York City Marathon is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the race set for Sunday, Nov 7, 2021. Soccer Without Borders has 10 race entries available for passionate and dedicated runners who want to give extra meaning to their miles by fundraising for SWB.


Team SWB runners are required to raise a minimum of $3,500 and may dedicate their fundraising to a specific Soccer Without Borders’ program site, or to all SWB programs. Funds raised will support our direct service soccer and academic programs that create avenues for growth, inclusion, and personal success for thousands of newcomer youth each year.


This year’s race field is limited to 33,000 runners and about half of those entries are already filled with runners who were registered for the 2020 event when it was cancelled. Since race entries are already extremely difficult to obtain, running for a charity partner like SWB is a great way to gain guaranteed entry. Interested individuals must complete our online application. Each application is reviewed on a rolling basis, with preference given to earlier applicants.


All SWB team members will receive a package of benefits based on their pledge level, access to a personalized crowdfunding page, social media materials, and support from our SWB staff to aid in their fundraising efforts.
