Volunteer with Soccer Without Borders

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Soccer Without Borders. SWB Volunteers play an important role in the success of our work. If you are interested in a formal internship with SWB, please see our intern page. Otherwise, check out our volunteer opportunities below.

Camps and Special Events

T.E.A.M Camp Volunteer, January 2010, Granada, NicaraguaOur camps and special events aim to infuse energy and resources into our project sites by providing an influx of equipment, guest teachers and coaches, and new ideas. These events access a wider audience than our year-round programs, inviting potential new participants and exposing new groups to our programs.

January T.E.A.M. Camp (Granada, Nicaragua)- This camp takes place during US college winter break as well as summer vacation for the girls in Granada. The Camp's theme is teamwork, with a soccer session every morning and a teambuilding activity in the afternoon. January 7-15th, 2012 This trip is past2009/2010 SWB Oakland Summer Camp Coach

Sports-based Youth Development Seminar and Culture Exchange (Granada, Nicaragua)- This trip is an opportunity for US high school students to share a cross-cultural experience with program participants in Granada. Trip participants will have the chance to work alongside the girls in our program, as well as gain an insight into Nicaraguan life. Strong preference given to rising juniors, rising seniors and rising college freshmen. 2012 dates:  July 28th- August 5th Apply!

International Volunteer Program

Don’t have the time or resources for our Intern Programs and still want to lend a hand? In limited instances, if you are 21 years of age or older, volunteer opportunities ranging from 1 week to 3 months are available in Nicaragua, Guatemala and Uganda throughout the year. Please send us an email describing your interest to myra@soccerwithoutborders.org

Domestic Programs

If you are interested in helping at one of our US project sites in Baltimore, New York, or Oakland, or donating your time administratively, please fill out this online application.  Please note, if you are interested in helping at one of US project sites,  we require a commitment of at least one session per week for a minimum of 6 months.
