Help us unlock what’s possible.
Play It Forward 2025: Futures Unlocked is a chance to expand opportunity and break down barriers through the global game.

Each week in December, we’ll reveal how SWB is unlocking opportunities and opening doors by creating spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow.

These glimpses into our work are just the beginning of what’s possible when we come together. Because building a more inclusive world takes all of us: teammates, coaches, families, and supporters like you.

Make your end-of-year gift today and join a community working to unlock connection, belonging, and opportunity for underserved youth everywhere.
Countdown to the Next Reveal!

Week 1
Unlocking: Quality Youth Programs

At SWB, safety isn’t just about the absence of harm. It’s about creating spaces where youth feel grounded, welcomed, and free to grow.
Through after-school programs, camps and clinics, leagues and tournaments, and more, we build environments where belonging isn’t a bonus; it’s the starting point.
Our staff are trained in trauma-informed care and wellness practices, helping ensure that every young person has the support they need to thrive.
Many youth don’t feel safe or supported in traditional sports spaces.
SWB builds trusted teams where every player feels they belong.
Past trauma makes it hard for youth to feel safe in new spaces.
SWB integrates wellness and care into every program.
Unfamiliar settings can leave newcomer youth feeling out of place.

Week 2
Unlocking: Access to Play
Every young person deserves the chance to play.

But for too many youth, that chance depends on factors they can't control. At SWB, we believe that access to play shouldn’t be determined by income, transportation, or where you were born. That’s why we offer free, community-based programs that reduce barriers and expand opportunity.

Through after-school programming, community and SWB-led leagues, summer camps, clinics, and more, we work to create accessible, year-round opportunities for youth to connect, learn, and lead through the game. With every practice, every teachable moment, and every high five, we’re unlocking more than just play. We’re unlocking opportunity. We’re unlocking belonging.
Cost keeps many families from enrolling in youth sports.
SWB programs are always free and include gear, uniforms, and more.
Tryouts, travel, and skill gaps leave many youth out of the game.
Everyone is welcome at SWB. No tryouts. No experience required.
Language and culture barriers make it hard to feel included.
SWB coaches reflect the communities served, creating space for all.
Lack of transportation means missing out on play and connection.
We bring programs to the neighborhoods where youth live and learn.

Week 3
Unlocking: Mentorship & Inclusive Coaching
Belonging doesn’t happen by chance. It’s built through trust, consistency, and relationships that reflect who we are. At SWB, coaches are more than instructors. They are mentors trained to lead with empathy, cultural humility, and care.

Through our growing coach education programs, we’re developing pathways for both internal and external coaches to lead inclusive, values-driven teams. From trauma-informed training to a national framework that centers belonging, we’re working to shift the culture of coaching and ensure every youth has a mentor who believes in them.
